THE FALLS OF GLOMACH , Kintail. At 230 metres, the falls are among the highest in the UK. A must for the energetic walker.

DUNCRAIG CASTLE   Overlooking the village of Plockton. Built in 1866 by Sir Alexander Matheson and later gifted by Lady Hamilton to the education authority for use as a domestic training college. Now once more a family home.

THE FIVE SISTERS, of Kintail.   An impressive Range of hills, from 876m to over 1,000 running east from Shiel Bridge

GLENELG   With its Hanoverian barracks and ancient Brochs.
